Best Rock 'n' Roll band in the world?

Are the Beatles really the best Rock 'n' Roll band? Seriously? My answer is NO.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Beatles, they had some really good songs. I doubt I agree with many people about which Beatles songs are the best. My favorites?: Yesterday, Ticket to Ride, Don't Pass Me By, With a Little Help From My Friends, While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Well some of my favorites anyway.

Seriously though, what makes them the best? Honestly, I'm a bit tired of hearing 'because they're the Beatles'. That's not an answer.
While their songs are good and the vocals are great, they didn't play their instruments very well at the beginning. Yes, they got better, much better actually. But, in my opinion, I haven't found anything that would make them the best.

Garth Brooks

So, I went to the encore performance of Fathom Events' showing of Garth's Kansas City concert. I was reminded, once again, why Garth is my favorite country singer. His live shows are fantastic. Seriously, he is another one of those performers that, in order to experience his music at it's best, you have to see him live.

The best part....................
It official, he will be back. He will tour again, maybe not right away, but still. Of course we all kinda knew, he loves the stage too much to stay away forever, but it's still nice to hear him say it.

Dylan

I've never really liked Bob Dylan. His songs are fabulous, as long as somebody else sings them. There are a few exceptions, of course, I do like Lay Lady Lay.

Anyway, I just listened to Maria Muldaur's Heart Of Mine - Love Songs Of Bob Dylan. It was ok, not sure if I'd recommend it though.

I am currently listening to Joan Baez's Vanguard Sessions: Baez Sings Dylan. She, of course, has a beautiful crystal clear voice.

Tim Sigler

I went to Tim Sigler's solo acoustic show at Renegades on Wednesday. As always he put on a great show. He plays country and classic rock, which of course are my two favorite types of music.

I don't need another blog, I have a hard enough time updating the ones I already have. I created this blog mainly so I could comment on other blogs.

All of my fandom related posts are on my LiveJournal. You'll find fanfic recommendations (mostly NC-17/FRAO ratings), Wallpapers and LJ icons that I made, and any fanfic that I manage to write. As well as various other things; a monthly list of the books I've read, recipes and anything else I decide to post about.

My MySpace blog is updated occasionally. I change the layout /page content quite often.

My policy for adding friends on either of those places is:
1.) If we know each other (in person) or from somewhere else online (yahoo groups, etc..)
2.) If we have common interests (like the same music, t.v. shows, movies, etc...)
